A good story that included the origins of the tango which I found very interesting. As well as a tale about gender issues at the turn of the century

This is now one of my favourite books I've ever read. Made me so emotional. The descriptions of tango, of buenos aires and what emigration was like...the trials of the main character. Loved it and cried when it finished

This didn’t connect as well to me as their others, but still such an interesting premise and striking prose. Not sure why, but it seemed more disjointed than the others by them. Might be on purpose. De Robertis does know how to make some lovable main characters though.
