Still more Famous Five - this one with secret messages and maps and ruins and diving. I think I've decided part of why these are better than Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, besides the better writing and the frank descriptions, are because it's an ensemble cast. You know, like Bastables or Pevensies or Boxcar Children or Little House or Harry Potter or even Dashwoods or Bennetts. There's no need for everyone to be siblings or even related, but ensembles just keep things entertaining and light. I think.

This is a fun one. Again, it's amazing to see the freedom of these (fictional) children and to realize how sheltered and hovered over childhoods are now. No wonder people can be rather timid and incapable.

My favourite book in this series, I love this even now and if I want to read a short but wonderful book I'll reach for this one everytime.

Kepengin melipir ke genre yang paling ringan, hehe

Petualangan mereka seru, tapi nggak terlalu bikin deg-degan, sih. Semua misi sudah dipastikan keberhasilannya 100 persen xD

The fun they had and the danger they faced wowed me as a kid. I wished and wished to have been born as their friend.
Famous Five taught me a bunch of things… For starters, always be ready for an adventure! They also taught me to not underestimate little girls. How many times has little Anne saved their lives? Also, I realized early on that there will always be someone trying to dictate your life, but it is important to be true to yourself no matter what.
Must read for kids.
