Really good. I found Sloane's stories about climbing the mountain in Ecuador (aha kinda) and getting her eggs harvested to be very interesting! I know this is a compilation of crazy or fun stuff that's happened, but she's really out there. Meeting Chuck Bass and getting her domain stolen by a creepo.

Eh, it’s hard to properly rate a collection. Some of the essays were four- and five-stars, easily - and some fell on the lower end of the scale. Splitting the difference at three, with a legacy nod towards Sloane’s first collection, which was a tip-to-tail delight.

What I've long enjoyed about Crosley's writing is the self-deprecating tone that conveys relatability even when her experiences are far from my own. Somehow this collection's pieces, which are mostly fine, don't quite close that loop. The humor seems at times misguided and the focus of several stems out of a distinct position of privilege, but there are still gems of observational wit to reward the committed.

The author is a good narrator and this collection has a nice variety of stories. However, they were pretty hit or miss.

An easy listen with some laughs.

I like essays and Sloane Crosley's are fun/interesting. This book was maybe just a bit 2016 (though it was published in 2018) basic, like we're in the waning days of Girls vibes. I found it pretty enjoyable even though I felt like I could see the niche too well.
