I read this book in 2018, I was in highshool at the time. It was a great book I really got involve in it, I didn't put it down until I finishied, I was obscess. Looking back on it theres a lot of things that put this book on a 3 star review. Is a good book for starting to read romance or get into the lgbt romance section. This book got my love for reading back up after a slump of many books of fantasy, is funny and cute and very realistic in the end. (DIDN'T NEEDED A SECOND PART).

I really wanted to enjoy this book but... meh honestly.
Big downside for me was that Arthur and Ben's pov were reading the same, I swear sometimes I couldn't remember in whom chapter we were and was lost at who was speaking.
There were cute moments, but mostly too clichés. And the fighting parts were kind of ridiculous?
Also didn't think I would say that, but too many Hp reference in there lmao.
I have to say I liked Dylan a lot. I liked there was representation and consent and all those positive things. But the writing was underwhelming for me, there wasn't a real plot except for the universe-love-will-it-work kind of thing so... could have been better.
I'm really disappointed, I wanted to be hyped up and love it... but...

I think this book suffers from being entirely too long. And BECAUSE OF THAT, I wasn't crazy about the ending. It's hard to say much without spoiling, so I definitely won't. I listened to this on audiobook, and it was REALLY well done. A GREAT way to consume this story! This book was a great piece of fluff but lacked some substance and didn't love the ending (considering how long it was).

I had a fun time reading it!
It could've been better, since it was written by such talented authors, but I did like it.
Aside from Ben and Arthur, Dylan and Samantha were an adorable couple!

Ben and Arthur are sweethearts and I swear I had to put this book down to listen to the entire Hamilton Broadway soundtrack because you just can't bring it up constantly without expecting me to go listen to it *no complaints though*. I love their individual and their together story. But ugh, that irl "cliffhanger", is too real.

What If It's Us, may come across as a cringey and too romance centered for some, but I think this book just really wants to give the reader community a fresh yet recurring pattern on young love in all its facets. I was rooting for this book in the first few chapters and was halfway raising my skeptical eyebrows, but I realized in the end that the authors just wants to convey what young love really is in this modern world. It's not a perfect love story but it strives to be one. This also represents a lot of LGBTQ issues without glossing over it and I love that we get to see a healthy environment for LGBTQ here in this book.
What I actually find to be slightly problematic or not fit to my liking is of my own views, so please please please don't flake on me if I didn't entirely love this book. Here are some of those: Aside from the said spoilers, I think this book was excellently written and could appeal to a lot of young readers because it accurately reflects how technology interweaves with our lives so seamlessly. The dialogues may not be that perfect and could come off as pretty bland and overrated, but I honestly love Arthur's POV's more and if it wasn't for him, I really don't think I could power through this book! I think this will be perfect for readers that wants to feel the thrill of first love and how it works differently in other people.

Sometimes I can't help but cringe with how super romance-centered this book is. SURE IT'S A YA ROMANCE BOOK, OK I KNOW GUYS. But honestly, sometimes it just gets way too overboard because it's not just with the main leads there's a throng of couples also in the background. And while it may be a wonderful setup because readers can reflect that there are multiple faces of love, it was overwhelming for me. Sometimes I just need to read more about the characters separately without thinking of each other all the dang time. Yes they have their own moments but it was lacking for me. Honestly, I just felt that it was over the top sometimes and I need a breather from it.danskireads's review against another edition

OK, this is adorable. If you're hesitating, do yourself a favour and finally take the plunge. I put this one off for too long.
