🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 -Β  I think fhis is my fave Dawn O Porter yet! I wasn't sure what I was diving into but this made me laugh, and it really touched me in different ways. Mia at first seems pretty two dimensional with a life of order and control, and the love of her cat. It's how it "should be". But as piece by piece her life starts to fall apart, you see the deep rooted complexities of Mia's character, how her fear and trauma have shaped her and how the love she pours into Pigeon her cat everything she has. Because love is the most important thing in this world, no matter how or who we choose to give it to. And unlike humans, pets love us unconditionally - they really are our saviours. This unconditional love ultimately shows us what matters in life, and I adored following Mias path to finding what that is for her. I have used the term "crazy cat lady" in the past with negative tones about myself and others, and I certainly won't be doing that again. I would be proud to be a cat lady in my life πŸ’š

I loved this so much and I can’t explain all of why. I didn’t like Mia at first but she grew on me and then I was rooting for her.
