I feel bad for rating this book so low but it just really wasn't for me. I didn't buy how fast the relationship between Grace and the dude formed, how she was instantly like so invested in his personal life. It just wasn't it for me. It felt very slow until the last forth of the book. Wasn't bad enough for me to stop listening but very very meh.

While I did like the ending of this book and thought it was interesting in the end, there were a lot of unanswered questions for me. All of the characters were unlikable. The story was pretty slow until about halfway through the book, and then it started to pick up. This one was a little predictable in my opinion. I love Jeneva Rose and her writing style, but this one just wasn’t it for me. Also, I didn’t like the way Calvin kept describing Grace’s eyes as “blue, blue.” I think it was said waaaay too much.

 I would not have finished this if I wasn't behind on my reading challenge. The amount of cliché phrases and cringey scenes and dialogue was a pain to get through. I hated the ending because you genuinely don't see it coming like it is entirely out of the blue. And not in the "omg taken by surprise" ending that you didn't see coming like that shit didn't even make sense and it felt like a cop-out. Severely disappointed and I hope The Perfect Marriage is a lot better.

Genuinely if I hadn’t been bored with nothing else to do I would’ve put this down within the first chapter. 

The story vaguely makes no sense and the plot twist is weird and poorly thought out. There is no “gotcha” moment it’s more like “why would anyone write that”. I cannot think of one redeeming factor here but you know what it was a book so. One star I guess.
