I always love a good WWII historical fiction book. And this was no exception. Extra points because it was from a perspective I’ve never read before and learned about a part of the German evacuation from the Soviet’s that was heartbreaking. Highly recommend.

Must read!!!!!! I finished it in 3 days and read almost half of it in one sitting. I've never read anything that has made me this angry, excited and sad at the same time. I literally COULD NOT STOP reading.

An amazing read! My first time reading historical fiction, and I love it! To tell the truth, I wasn't at all aware of the Gustloff tragedy before I read this book. I certainly learned a lot!
