Wow. I learned a lot of alarming information about the US Government and the military. I have respect for the troops, but not the military. What a tragic, unforgivable situation.

i knew very little about afghanistan, iraq, the us, and all the wars that bind them together. krakauer has done it again. jesus. there's simply no subject area he could write about i wouldn't read. the most worrying thing is that if pat hadn't come from such a headstrong family, would the coverup have ever occured? shoutout to a previous partner who suggested ol jonny boy. hope youre well.

It's been a really long time since a book made me so angry I wanted to chuck it across the room. But that was my reaction to this book, though I don't consider it a bad thing. I think it's an important book to read, but really loved the examination of Tillman's character. You can learn a lot by the way he lived his life.

Too melodramatic, even with Scott Brick reading it.
