Agatha Raisin is getting married!  The only problem is, Roy decides to see if he can find her first husband before the wedding.  He thinks he is really helping.  He succeeds in finding her first husband, she never divorced, and the trouble starts   Great cozy Mystery Series.

🙂 Happy Reading 🙂

I thought I loved The Walkers of Dembley, but The Murderous Marriage was absolutely delightful!

What I loved about this particular Agatha Raisin books was the delve into Agatha’s past and her marriage to Jimmy Raisin. I’ve been waiting for this storyline to come up since Jimmy was mentioned in the first book. I was not disappointed.

M.C. Beaton gives us a real glimpse into what makes Agatha, well…Agatha! The character development was so very strong in this book. We were introduced to so many characters and suspects in this story, but all were memorable. This was another mystery that kept me guessing right up to the very end. I love/hate Roy, James will never deserve Agatha in my opinion, but one can only wish to have such friends as Bill Wong and Margaret Bloxby.

When her long thought dead husband Jimmy shows up and ruins her wedding to James Lacey, Agatha Raisin is understandably furious. When Jimmy turns up dead just a few hours later, Agatha is the prime suspect. When she and James, and their newly strained relationship start their own investigation of Jimmy's murder, they are naturally followed by a trail of bodies.

I found this one more exciting than the previous Agatha Raisin books. Quite enjoyable.
