A few hours have passed since I finished this book…I’ve digested, I think I can write my review now.
I was ready to be annoyed by this book. In fact, I was ready to hate this book. But holy shit I LOVED it. Does it deserve the hype? Ehh, not the hype it gets and the TYPE of hype it gets, but yes it is very deserving of applause. This was such an exhilarating mystery that put you on the edge of your seat. The pacing, magnificent - not a single lull; the characters, just the right amount of pretentious; the reveal, it’s like watching your favorite actor receive a well-deserved award. Every time I put this book down I wanted to pick it up again, it was that good. I’m so pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had reading this.
Through the eyes of Oliver we get such an engrossing story about love and obsession. How far would you go to protect the people you love?

i'm not entirely sure i understand what i just read but i enjoyed some of it? the first half was slow and was giving the secret history (a book i did NOT like) but the second half was better; i wish james and oliver's relationship would have been explained more and that there was slightly more explanation as to what happened with the rest of the characters after oliver got out of jail
