the mystery pacing of this book is quite engaging and all of the characters have many layers to themselves and their interactions with each other. i guessed the twist / reveal as to what happened but i was still crying by the end of the book. even guessing the end, the characters were still so intricate and had such depth that i felt the emotional impact.

I honestly don't know how to rate this book. I liked the theatrical structure/nature and all the Shakespearean nods. I had a really hard time liking the characters, and at the same time, I had a hard time disliking them. Half the plot felt extraneous, but I couldn't tell you what to take out. In other words, I'm a bit perplexed after reading this...
