The second installment of Fantasy Sports has a bit more background on Wiz and continues to build the relationship between boss (Mug) and apprentice (Wiz). What's a bit puzzling still is how Wiz is apprentice to Mug, because Mug doesn't seem to do much magic, preferring to smash things, while tiny Wiz seems to be doing well on her on in the magic department. Anyway, they end up by accident in an island where a former ally used to rule. But the island is now in ruins and its people have a certain disdain for mages. Not to give too much away of the plot, there is some beach volleyball action and most importantly, the bigger quest seems to have been revealed: is the archmage greedy for power and treasure like the islanders claim or were the islanders put in their place for a reason?

* I was sent this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review *
Another pleasant surprise as this book is one which I found both enjoyable and fast-paced. I think that this series is slightly silly, but in a great way. It combines fantasy worlds and adventures with sporting activities to solve problems. Definitely a series I think children would really like, and one I find myself more drawn to each volume!

Even better than it's predecessor! There's more character development and world building, and somehow the drawings and coloring got even more breathtaking? I can't wait to read the next one.

I always love how lush and colorful Bosma's art is in his comics! It's neat to learn a bit more about the worldbuilding as well, and I look forward to reading the next book.
