3rd book I've read in the series. Takes too long to solve the crime and it's just too descriptive for my liking. I know this is a whole series, but I probably won't be reading any others.

Always fun listening to a book set 30+ years ago. The $0.20 phone call and airport descriptions were most noticeable. But equally amazing is how much remains the same all these years later. I figured out the mystery about 2/3 the way through.

These books aren't capital-L Literature, but they're fun enough to read. Grafton makes neat little descriptive observations that jump out at me pleasantly (though they're apparently not memorable, as I can call none to mind). I don't love how she builds the story and builds the story only to give you kind of a little half-ending.

Enjoyed this - I'm doing a re-read. It's a good mystery with an enjoyable ending, but there's a lot of negative descriptions of fat people in this book. It was published in the 80s so it's not a surprise really and is probably Sue Grafton internalising years of crap. But it wasn't great. Hopefully that doesn't happen in all of them, it wasn't a big feature in the first book. Apart from that though, another good Kinsey story.
