A stranger tale than I was expecting after Giant Days, By Night follows two young women who have only reconnected as they explore a rundown manufacturing plant. Along the way the find a portal to another dimension and... things go awry.
The characters are well drawn and the art is excellent, but the story feels a bit thin (hopefully that changes with the next book) and it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger.

DNF pg 19
Well this wasn’t great. Jane and Heather haven’t seen each other for years and Heather tries to rekindle their friendship by taking her to a disgusting bar then to an abandoned property. From the very beginning Jane and Heather’s relationship is very strained and you can clearly tell these two are no longer friends. Heather doesn’t do anything normal to try and rekindle their friendship either, she jumps straight into doing something illegal and never once asks Jane how she is feeling or how things are for her. I stopped reading when Heather basically shames Jane for not achieving her dream and living with her parents in this dying town. That is not cool and I don’t want to read a story where so-called friends are treating others this way.
