I think most of us know we should make more of an effort to be better listeners. This book included lots of interesting info about how desperate people are to have others listen well to them, why we often have a hard time listening effectively, and how and why to work harder at attentive listening. I really enjoyed listening to the author, an accomplished journalist, read this well-written book!

A lot of the first part talks about attachment theory, so if you're familiar with the theory, it's kind of boring. Picked it up randomly from Libby and I just wasn't super invested in finishing it.
