This has potential to be really good. A secret door no one knew about? Super cool concept! But it came across as fan fiction. If you’re reading this book it’s because you’re a fan of the nightmare before Christmas, we get it, you don’t have to describe everything to that degree. We KNOW she’s a rag doll. The whole story line of her parents and how she was kidnapped was weird. And the queen of England? Really? It was just a mess. Very disappointed

This was such a cute read! The writing style wasn't for me, but I think that's because it's more of a children's book than an adult book. Overall tho, it was entertaining!

Shea Ernshaw has a lovely way with words, and I was enthralled by her writing. Everything was so vivid and easy to imagine, and I really enjoyed this as a sequel to my all-time favourite movie.

It's not what I'd envision as a sequel (I also really love the video game sequel, Oogie's Revenge) but I see this as a great "what if?" story, perhaps canon to its own timeline.

I'm not sure how much I like the Sally origin and Dr. Finkelstein stuff, but again think it was well written and realised. In my eyes, there will never be an official story to Tim Burton's masterpiece, but I'll jump at any chance to return to Halloween Town and beyond.

Also has a surprising amount of Queen Elizabeth II, for some reason.

I enjoyed this one immensely, more than I actually expected. I loved that it was POV, and I think it was pretty true to the character. The locations references were really true to those in the original movie, as well as the background characters.

It's a lovely story about impostor syndrome, finding your place in life, taking responsibility and being able to come up with outside of the box solutions for problems.

Really nicely written, a perfect cozy Halloween read.
