This is the 5th book in the Skulls Renegade series but I feel like each book can be read as a standalone. This book is about Katya and Slasher.

Katya's mother sold her and her siblings into human trafficking and Katya done what she had to do to keep her sister safe. Her siblings hate her for it but there is a war brewing because of their uncle. Katya goes to warm her siblings and meets Slasher!

Slasher has been through hell and back so when Katya and slash meet, their souls kind of recognize that they are both monsters and will do whatever it takes to take care of their families.

I really enjoyed this book, however I feel like there was something missing. Maybe more to it to come? I'm not sure but that's the reason I only gave it 4 stars.

This story encompasses the pain, torture and struggles that Katya and Slasher have faced in their lives. Their personal demons have brought them together and watching their unique love story play out while the world around them is building for a war. Elizabeth Knox writes another 5 star read that will leave you wanting more.

Right from the get go this is a gritty read, we meet Katya who does what ever she needs to to keep her sister safe including being sold to a monster Sergei who when he decides he has had enough of her he cruelly discards her aside. Now she must do what she can to protect her real family, but after becoming what she believes is a monster due to everything she has done after being sold and then being with Sergei who can trust her? Now while also trying to work out who she really is herself and bring her family together before it is too late she meets Slash and from there boom its all on like Donkey Kong. Will she finally let her family in in regards to what she has had to do, Will she ever truly get away from Sergei and will she and Slash have some super steamy scenes?!
All I can say is I am now addicted and will be going back and reading all previous books in the series and can not wait for the next book! :P

I have been waiting for this one.I couldn't wait to be able to read Slasher's story. This book was right there from the beginning. This one was Russian mafia meets MC. Well written amazing characters.I absolutely love the connection between Junior and Katya. They fit together perfectly and have a great understanding for each other. This was so well written and gripping from beginning to end. I loved Katya's character. So extremely strong and will do anything for her siblings. This is a hot fast moving and very action driven. Slasher is someone you can easily fall in love with. I love how he fights to come back from what he has gone through. Highly recommend.

Oh my lanta - thank you! Whew. I was starting to get really worried there, this one definitely will be my favorite thus so far - Reckoning was definitely a better read!

I think I mostly liked Reckoning because I was finally given what I wanted: Slasher. That's right, I wanted him since his first appearance and now I have him comrades! So yes, this go we have Junior "Slasher" and his deliciously enticing romance with Kayta. I was surprised, and not in a bad way - Slasher was someone in the past books somewhat alpha-male jerkoff, with justified reasons, I was half expecting a brute. But tickle me surprised when he turns into a big softy with Kayta.

I have to admit it was Kayta who also side slapped me. Getting to know her I was half expecting an inferior woman, maybe more weaker when in contact with another alpha but I was blown away to find out that her alpha personality really overpowered Slasher. Not only this but Kayta had a rough life, she has not had it easy and she is stronger for it; though she has her damsel moments she really saves herself.

A lot of their romance is built on this trust and understanding between one another. I think they had a more developed emotional connection, one that yes had some delicious sexual encounters but overall had the depth of a believable 'in love' scenario.

Overall, Reckoning was a little better in terms of the writing style, I was able to connect and honestly enjoy the romance instead of constantly belittling it. I really enjoyed Kayta and Slasher together, they really has this interesting blend that screams compatible. I will admit though that the ending, as the previous ones have left me with several more pending questions. There are still several conflicts in the group and I am not sure where this is all expected to lead...

Curious to find out we are!

Reckoning Teaser 3
5 Stars

OMG this was fantastic and my absolute favourite of all the books in this series.
Events here finally culminating with such reveals that have left the whole Skulls Renegade MC reeling in shock from the secrets and lies unfolding right before there eyes.
What a finale this episode had; saying I'm actually gobsmacked here is an actual understatement.
"Reckoning" left me completely flawed; so excuse me here while I actually pick up my jaw from the floor.
So This time around its Katya and Slasher/Junior's time to shine beneath that spotlight.
And boy do they do just that; Reckoning has some incredibly steamy antics alongside its believable emotional turmoil so much so that I was hooked right from the get-go.
What we have here is two make no apologies flawed individuals who are just trying to beat the life lottery and win with the given hand they have been dealt.
I adored Katya and wanted to strangle her siblings Dimitri and Ksenia for there complete lack of insight and compassion.
Everything Katya has endured and embraced within her young life has been for the protection of her sister and the lack of appreciation and deeper understanding here is frankly astonishing, self-serving and selfish.
And is it so wrong to at least try and claw back a semblance of normality and take what happiness is offered; even if it is from what some would label a monster; I think its safe to say Katya paid for that err is judgement tenfold and then some, poor girl.
She has embraced the monster within to overcome her circumstances and shield her sister from life's harsh realities and the thanks she gets is judgement at its most self-righteous.
But not from Slasher/Junior he sees beyond the forced persona to the vulnerable woman hidden so well beneath and has her back from day one of there first encounter.
He feels almost a sense of solidarity and an unfamiliar desire, a compulsion to shield Katya from those that would play judge and jury despite her well-apparent ability to take care of herself.
And Katya sees beyond Junior's mutilated face to the man beneath; she has scars of her own they are just better concealed.
So as I said earlier this completely knocked my socks off in terms of outcomes and there is another huge player brought to the table in "Reckoning" that is quite evidently going to change the whole playground.
We are introduced to the missing Petrov Sister; the youngest a half sibling who is unquestionably criminal royalty and who also happens to be along with her husband the head of the Romanian Clans; The Romanian Mob in actuality.
Mariana and her husband Ion Petran are definitely going to be front characters in the future War that seems to be on the near horizon.
I for one can't wait; all I really need now is that next book; I'm on literal pins here with such expectant anticipation, I so want it now folks.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC copy of "Reckoning (Skulls Renegade #5)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own

WHAT?!?!?! I have screamed at my kindle for 10 minutes because of that ending! I couldn't put this book down but you can't leave a girl hanging like this....

Four days later after the shock has worn off - I absolutely loved Katya and Slasher’s story. This book will have you crying and feeling Katya’s loss than needing a cold shower by the end of this book you will be rocking yourself in a corner yelling WHY, KNOX WHY!?! I am on emotional overload. I’m not sure who I hate/love anymore. All I can say is that Katya is a badass chick who is perfect for Slasher.

If you are an MC Romance lover, stop what you are reading and start this series ASAP! You will not be sorry!
