This volume features short stories, poetry, and excerpts from novels, all from up-and-coming authors. While there's a lot of sci-fi and fantasy-driven fiction here, the piece that stood out to me was an excerpt from Mel Anastasiou's Stella Ryman and the Locked Room Mystery, which features a retired librarian and several cranky residents of a senior living facility. I think there's something here to interest everyone!
