Woah this book is a MUST READ. Learned so much about Hindu/Muslim culture in India and what it means to honor tradition in the most terrifying way.

Started slow and didn’t pick up until about 30% of the way. At about 70% I had such a visceral reaction to the writing - in a good way, though it was very difficult to read. Despite understanding things needed to be tied up in the end, it felt way too light and not very thoughtful after having read such a vivid and thought provoking section.
