Is there any surprise here? I love ARR and have enjoyed every book in this series. These characters were cute and I had a good time reading about them falling in love.

I really enjoyed our main character, Anna. I can respect a person who is willing to leave it all behind if they aren’t happy. She was an heiress who was engaged to a man she didn’t love and had a terrible family. She realized she wasn’t happy and walked away from it all. I feel like Calvin was really good for Anna. He showed her what being loved and cared for could feel like.

Besides our main characters, we were given some very funny side characters. This neighborhood had its own version of the Golden Girls. They were so damn funny and brought humor to the story.

Overall, I enjoyed this one! I don’t know if there will be more in this series, but I sure hope so!

I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.

Not much to say about 'Hooking Him'. It was a cute hallmark movie type romance filled with instant love (cringe worthy but expected), oozing chemistry, family drama, cheating exes and a side fish of murder (surprising bit of this story). It's definitely a feel good romance and ideal for readers looking for a quick, easy read.

Thought this was a really cute read. Not her strongest series but it'll help any romance reader get out of a reading slump.
Trigger Warnings: murder and violence

Wonderful

Short and sweet. Anna and Calvin's story is the perfect ending to the series. The plot was plausible and enjoyable.

I have been lucky that I have been able to read all of these standalone books in this series. One of my favorite things about this author is that her books are always great for putting me in a good mood or being a book palette changer when I need to recoup from something dark and heavy, or sad, and gut-wrenching.

The foundation of her stories seems to always be built upon a story that has little to no angst, lots of humor, and a very cute romance between the main characters as they find their HEA. That was most assuredly the case in this book. I had to laugh at the side characters in this one, A LOT. I appreciated Anna and realizing the importance that life isn't just about material things or status. And Calvin? Yeah, yet another amazing ARR hero. She sure knows how to give her audience what they want.
