It’s good in that it does reflect a possible future Russia, and it’s interesting to read now in 2024. Some parts were hilarious and the sardonic tone was excellent. However, it dragged a bit for me.

Wow so interesting to read a Russian futuristic dystopia like this! I can see why Sorokin is in exile. Not for the faint hearted and quite surreal but still manages to find a hint of the psyche I think around Orthodoxy / the Emperor etc
