This was the best book.

I sort of had an inkling on who Rex was. Or maybe I hoped I did so I was very pleased with who he turned out to be.

Its a well written book and I've actually put this on my recommendations list. I think I'll revisit this series a few times. Its easy to read and just enjoyable.

Typical SS book in style of writing.
Man has honor, respect for women etc.

This one has the Hero and heroine as a married couple, that are separated for ten years and Hero hasn't been with anyone else.

Possible triggers.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine but the heroine has been a sex slave so she has suffered abuse and there are some references though not huge detail and it's relayed in memories rather than present events.

HEA.

Epilogues. Several years ahead.

After years of looking and rescuing a lot of people who needed their help, he finally finds the one he started all that for.
These two deserved a happy ending more than anything.
None of them gave up and they kept holding on.
This book was the perfect ending to the series.

Amazing conclusion to this series

Whoa! For a few of those last chapters, I swear I held my breathe as I plowed through.
Finally we get Red's story. Ten years ago his wife was taken, searching for her when the police gave up became his motivation for forming the Mountain Mercenaries. When Zara spots a photo of Mags the woman who helped her while she was in Peru, Dave "Rex" , knows exactly where to find her.

I had so many highlights from this book, well not so many but more than usual.

These men in this series are precious and caring and protective and non-readers wonder why reading women, gays and theys have such high expectations?!?!

This book specifically made me simultaneously hate men and love them at the same time. I have a hard time with men thinking they are kings of everything, but they fail to remember that they, too, bleed.

Dave aka Rex was had never gave up on finding his wife and when there is a lead to find her, he identifies who he actually is to the team and they go down to Lima to be sure the clue pans out. More than 60% of this book takes place in Peru which is extremely different from the other books which usually follows the women acclimating to life in the states. We are all surprised to find that Mags aka Raven is reluctant and unwilling to go back to Colorado and we later find out why. Being a pawn in the kingpin’s game has left her scarred but with more responsibilities then she had when she was taken.
