Interesting quick story. The story idea was good and I'd love to read a full length book on it, but as a short story it just didn't feel complete. For example the football guys thrown in as a conflict then dismissed in the next sentence just seemed un-needed. A little better plotting for a short story and a good edit could have made this a better read.

A fun short story in the world of Tantalize.

So I wanted to buy a Kindle anyway and this was its debut download. A match-up of fun & easy reading akin to bacon-buttered popcorn (nom nom nom, is there more?). Interesting world, not too light but not yet too dark for YA either. I'm betting there's more Tiffany-adventures to come, along with more popcorn!

Not enough to this story to interest me. I think it could have been really good if it was longer.

It was a strange story, but I believe it might have been better if it had been an actual book. Why? So we get to have more details because in the end, it seemed like the writing was rushed and I'm still not sure what really happened.

Sexualizing a sixteen year old girl the entire time and acting like grown men catcalling her and trying to get into her pants is a good thing? I don't think so.

The first part of this story was a bit aggravating, as it told how Tiff, a sixteen year old girl, was sent away to live with her grandmother after developing into a young woman. That, plus the title of the story and the cat calls within the book.. those were annoying.

But the story does change its focus, as Tiff's grandmother gives her the challenge of reading a crystal ball and telling fortunes at the carnival. Tiff doesn't feel she has any real talent, and feels bad to be faking the visitors of her fortune telling tent--until she realizes she knows more than her visitors told her.

The ending was nice, and I liked the paranormal twist. Though, it's not connected to anything. There's no related novel or short story sequel--this one is all that exists. And I did feel as though the last pages were rushed, as though everything came together too quickly and forcefully for it to be realistic.

I read this book because the cover was similar to the cover of Neil Gaimans Coraline. It was a quite a strange story, even for a short story seemed to drag on a little and I didn't really like it all that much, it was too dark. I guess the phrase don't judge a book by its cover couldnt be more right.
