This was my favorite so far. I did sort of see the big twist coming, but it was darker and more realistic than the first two. I love Cammie, Macey, Liz and Bex. They're so great. And the writing is fun and sassy and easy to read. Its just a really good series!!

Three books in, the Gallagher world has been well-defined, so Carter could stand to lay off the repetitive asides about what amazing geniuses the characters are (it was charming and illuminating at the beginning, but now it's getting a bit pointless). The action scenes could use more precise writing, but Cammie's gradual maturation and the genuinely surprising twist ending makes the reader eager for the next book in the series.
