read this for required reading, but i ended up really connecting with it. i can see why others might not enjoy it as much, but i found it deeply insightful and heartbreaking. i’ll be thinking about it for a long time

I think it’s better than the movie because you can actually get more information about what it was like for him.

Okay so for starters, this is the first nonfiction book I have read ever. If we are being honest, which I am in all of my review, this book has a lot of information on the death of Chris McCandless, which rest in peace to his poor soul, but it was all over the place. The only part I actually liked about this book was when the author, Jon Krakaur, was talking about HIS trip to Alaska and when the author told the stories of the three young men that were like McCandless and went on life threatening journeys, rest in peace to their poor souls too. But anyways, if you are someone who likes slower, nonfiction, informative books then Into the Wild is for you. I do understand that this is a biography and that some of y'all may not like how harsh I am being, but this book was in the middle when it comes to do I like it or do I not.
