UPDATED REVIEW 5/18/2022:
UPDATED RATING (2 STARS)

First off, the only reason I re-read this is not because it’s amazing or anything, but because the last time I read it was like 10 years ago and I couldn’t remember much about it other than that I had already read it. Lol

I may be in the minority here, but I personally find ménage’s involving more than 3 people (1 girl, 2 guys) or actual reverse harems with more than 4 people (1 girl, 3 guys) to be just too many. It just gets so awkward when it comes to the sex and where everyone can be. Have you ever watched a porn with more than two or three guys to one girl? It’s just so awkward in my opinion and not sexy at all (again, my opinion). And with a true reverse harm where there is a real relationship with all the guys, more then three guys is too much to build actual relationships with.

This isn’t a reverse harem by the way. Kate has an attraction to all of them but cares about Mike primarily and he’s sharing her with them. The other guys are just there for the sexual encounter and then they’re outtie.

And as a ménage with six people, I just can’t get over the awkwardness. The pool sex sounds uncomfortable for the person having to hold their breath while eating her out. Not a fan of that. The chair sex was okay, but again it’s just a tangle of limbs that you know can’t possibly be as in sync as it sounds. It’s just too much and laughable to me.

I also found it funny that the self-professed gayest (closer to gay than bisexual) guy in the group is one of the few of them that actually has sex with her. How does that work? Seemed more likely one of the other guys that were more bisexual than gay would have gone for it instead.

Still, this was a quickie (only 59 pages) and it was free on Kindle Unlimited. And every so often I will give these more than 3 guys thing a try. I still haven’t found one that isn’t awkward and unnatural though. So this was a no go for me.

Oh also when I read these types of books I prefer them all to want a relationship rather than just a good time and only be with one of them. I know, I have SUCH realistic expectations. lol

I’ll probably pass on re-hashing the rest of the series. Unless I’m feeling really desperate for a ménage that probably won’t do much for me. Lol

ORIGINAL REVIEW (4/29/2011):
ORIGINAL RATING (4 STARS)

The crew remodeling the townhouse next door to Kate has got her blood pumping. But the one who she has her sights on the most is Mike. But she's scared to tell him what her deepest darkest fantasy is -- to have all four of his crew members, plus him, at once.

For a short story, this was pretty hot. Not much character building and all, but for about 50 pages, you can't really expect that much. Aside from Kate getting it on with all five men, there is also lots of m-m stuff in this too, so if you don't like that then this isn't for you. I personally loved the whole thing and I'm excited to read the next in this series too.

So if you're looking for a hot little ménage story with some m/m sex too, then this is for you.

Kate's crew

I really enjoyed this book, Kate and Mike seemed like they would be a good couple together, each one wanting to help the other live out their fantasies. Can't wait to see what's next.

Absolutely adorable

This was equally sweet and spicy! The trust, love and sexiness that went into the relationships and sexual adventures was fabulous. I absolutely died for mike and Kate’s budding love. They were perfect together and I really want there story for sure.

First in the Powertools erotic romance series with a focus on Kate and Mike.

My Take
Very nicely done — and thoroughly written — short story with a start through to a finish. It's amazing what can be done in only 51 pages!

It's hot, erotic, and makes me want to go find my toolbelt.
