Es tan innecesariamente largo que llegó un punto en el que ya no me importaba la historia, solo quería saber qué había pasado y ya está. Podría haber prescindido de 200 páginas y hubiera tenido el mismo impacto que este libro quiere lograr.

Anfang hat sich sehr gezogen und war schwierig rein zukommen auch durch die verschiedenen Charaktere an sich die verwechslungsgefahr mit sich brachten
aber ab Teil 2 wurde es interessant und durch die wechselnden POV wurde es spannend aufgebaut und mit vielen Twist hätte ich nie gerechnet
Gut als Krimiroman für zwischendurch
Werde den 2. Band auch lesen !

This book took a really long time to pick up and the ending didn't make up for the slog that was the first 75%. The plot was solid in premise, but just wasn't executed well. Too much was going on, there were too many characters and time jumps and I found that information was revealed and I had no idea why it was relevant because things were so convoluted. Ffion was a solid character (although like many books in this genre, she is way too close to the action and should definitely not be on the case), but her story got muddled with so many others' that it was hard to care about anyone. Unfortunately, despite liking Ffion, I can't say I'll be rushing to read any other books in this series.

Love Clare Mackintosh and this thriller/police procedural was great…once it really got started. It was slow to get into and there were a whole lot of characters to keep track of for the whole book. Once I was at least 50-75 pages in, I finally got more bought in but Ffion was hard to like for awhile. Overall though, it was good and I’m looking forward to her next installment of this series.
