I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much reading a book as I did when reading chapter 26

I'm an emotional wreck after reading Fool's Errand. I've not had such a strong reaction to a book for quite a long time and I'm still in a daze after what happened.
I hadn't realised how much Fitz, the Fool, and Nighteyes had come to mean to me after finishing the Farseer Trilogy, and reading Liveships felt like a breath of fresh air after the slower pace of the original series in the Realm of the Elderlings. However, coming back to these three characters felt like coming home after a long absence. I felt at peace reading about them once more (despite of all that happens), and I now completely understand why fans of the series adore it so much. This world, these characters, and their story has quietly grown on me and become a second home to me in a way only Middle Earth has ever done before.
There's not much else I can say about this book without major spoilers for the previous two series, but I cannot express just how much it moved me and left an impression on my mind. It's been an emotional rollercoaster and I've spent hours crying, as I'm sure many others will have done... I've rated other books by Hobb highly but Fool's Errand has achieved something that none of her other books have yet captured. It's impossible to point out exactly what it is that makes this book so brilliant, however, it is my favourite book by her to date, and I know it's one I'm going to adore as well as dread rereading in the future.
