I absolutely loved the 3rd book in this world. It started shortly after the events on the 1st book. The writing was unique, engaging, and painted such a vivid picture of the world. I really love these character driven stories. The death of Sawyer really hit me in my feels. It reminded me very much of similar senseless deaths that we see in our country now. Very well done!

okay the 'star trek episode' conceit is wearing thin. can i have a conflict left unresolved after four pages please.

if they're just going to be unceremoniously thrown in jail and therefore out of the narrative make the space thieves actively murder sawyer.

the message was nice though.

Can't get through a single one of these books without crying. Something always catches me.
This one is about home and change and tradition and the terrifying moment where you need to make a change and needing to experience new things so you can appreciate what you've always know.
