Eh, I’ve read quite a few Star Trek books and this one definitely wasn’t my favourite. It’s not a bad book but I just didn’t feel like the characters always felt like themselves. They were some characters which I feel Scott translated from the screen to her book fairly well, including Odo and Sisko, although I feel like Kira and Dax felt flat a bit at times.

I enjoyed this story but I think I missed something key because the resolution of events was utterly unsatisfying to me.

I thought the characters were sometimes spot on but occasionally a little off, and that there was a bit too much animosity between the station crew at times.
