Holy moly! I absolutely adored this book and the whole series. VE Schwarb really does has a special talent and created such an amazing world(s). I haven’t read many fantasy books or series with such great visuals and world development. The different Londons are so very intriguing yet easy to follow.

The ROMANCE!!! I love the inclusion of the lgbq in this book! Finally we get to see the love we have been waiting for. The previous books had acknowledged some relationships that were a little bit more than just friendships but in this installment we got to see these love interests unfold.

Each character is so real and well developed. After completing this trilogy I feel as though I know Lila! The continuation and consistency of these main roles really elevated this story. Sometimes when there are too many characters entering and leaving it distracts from what is happening. Rather Schwarb, made a few important roles and focused on the interactions and their relationships which really enhanced the book.

Well the grammar and word choice in this review is actually so terrible but all I really need to say is I LOVED THIS BOOK AND LILA AND RYE. ummm well Kell and Holland can go battle it out in white London or get lost on some ship with some burly Veskans. Lol.

One aspect or theme I did not enjoy was Kell. While he has definitively grown on me I do not like how he take responsibility for saving the day. He feels this natural instinct to always step in and be the hero, resulting in sacrificing himself numerous times. This part of his character is held back after the first book when his life becomes bond to his brother Rye. Even with this knowledge and curse he continues to take big risks having his brother suffer the consequences of his actions.

Perfect ending to a perfect series! A little bit of a heart breaker but I don't think I would have it any other way! I am going to miss Kell and Lila.. perhaps V-Schwab could write some novellas for us?? Pretty Please?
