Montana Match is the fourth book in the Blackwell Sisters series. It’s also the second book I have read in the series and I am hooked! In fact, I have had to add the Return of the Blackwell Brothers series to my TBR list because I want to read the brother’s stories. The group is a great example of a large family and the love they share for each other. The stories heartwarming, and the characters are loveable. The Blackwell series is based on five siblings whose mother has just passed away and they learn that the father (Rudy Harrison) is not their real biological father. They each travel to Montana to learn about their Blackwell family and find their HEA. The fourth book is the baby of the family, Fiona’s story.
Fiona Harrison is the youngest sibling in the Harrison family and has always tried to please and make everyone happy. She enjoys her job as a waitress and since she moves around a lot it is always easy to find a job. Her relationships with men are always short-term because she always seems to pick men that aren’t stable and not interested in marriage. After her mother passes, her father is worried about her carefree lifestyle and convinces her to try and find a steady job and a husband. Fiona decides to move to Montana and start a new life in Falcon Creek with her new Blackwell cousins. But finding a husband material man and a career job isn’t as easy as she thought it would be. Especially when her heart leads her to Simon, a bartender who lives in California but is helping his cousin’s business in Falcon Creek for a few weeks.
Simon has no interest in marriage after seeing how everyone in his family has been through a divorce and got hurt. He stays away from women who want long-term or marriage. He let Fiona believe he was only a bartender even though he has a successful business in California renting historical props to moviemakers. His brain tells him this will keep him off her “suitable man” list, but his heart yearns to be on the list. When Fiona says she wants them to date until he leaves, they both subconsciously dread that day. Unfortunately, Simon never got around to telling Fiona the truth about his real-life in California before she found out. Will the truth end their relationship?
This was a light romance with comedy and family love. Fiona was so easy-going and always happy which made the book an easy book to read and was perfect for adding holiday cheer. I can’t wait for the next book to be released. Hopefully, we will get to see Georgie find her HEA and the entire family all together for the wedding.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really felt for Fiona as she allowed others to influence her on so many things instead of doing what she actually wants, but I knew her coming to Montana was going to be the turning point in her life and was excited to see her find herself. I loved Simon straight away he is so sweet and carrying a heavy weight with his brother and his family so I get why even though as he gets to know Fiona he doesn't reveal how he really feels about her or how many boxes he ticks in Fiona's list for a husband. There are plenty of laughs, awkward dates, frustrations, a feel of family and most of all love as we watch Fiona and Simon fall for each other and hope that both will see they are a perfect match for each other.

I love Fiona and Simon and their meet-cute, their flirting, their friendship, and their kisses. Fiona is the baby of the family, more free spirited than her older sisters but equally as smart and talented. Simon is completely charming and a little brooding but it’s clear he has a great sense of humor and loves deeply once he gives his heart or loyalty to someone. Their chemistry is immediate and cute, and I really loved how Fiona could be herself around Simon even while she was trying to change to meet other people’s expectations. Actually, both characters struggle with other people’s expectations in different ways. Speaking of their chemistry, there is a scene at the end of the book where Simon locks eyes with Fiona and oh sweet mercy my heart nearly stopped at the intensity of the moment. Loved these two!

And oh my goodness, let’s talk about Luke and Simon. These BFFs are hilarious together but will defend each other to the death – the author captures a bro friendship perfectly. Their texts had me laughing out loud more than once & I loved how seamlessly Fee fits into their relationship. Please, please, please tell me that we will see Luke again as a leading man in an upcoming Carol Ross novel! He is by far my favorite secondary character in this series, and I would love to spend more time with him.

Bottom Line: Montana Match is the kind of novel that instantly ropes you in and keeps you raptly turning the pages until the very end – and even then you’re not ready for it to be over because you love hanging out in Falcon Creek. Ross crafts layered & delightful characters which capture your affection, and she weaves a plot that’s sincere and heartfelt. A last-minute twist will have you counting down the days until Montana Wedding releases, and I’m definitely looking forward to Georgie’s story and the conclusion of the subplot that has connected each book in this fabulous series.

First off, I enjoyed this story however I do not find it to be a book for most of the readers that follow me and therefore I recommend don't it to. There is nothing outright wrong with the book just working/set in a bar and I know that many of my followers are younger.

But! I did love the main characters, Fiona and Simon, the humor that was scattered throughout the story, and the romance or resistance against having a romance was sweet.

Luke, okay, well, I loved him! He was just such a sweet side character! I loved how he was in so much of "Montana Match" along with the main characters. And his loyalty was just so sweet.

And, I am now going to (hopefully) find the other books in this series because I have been missing out!

Content: A few mentions of a character cussing, words replaced as cussing in text, and a sexually suggestive jab at a friend.

I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

“Yes, she’s pretty much perfect. I mean, she’s not perfect, obviously. But she’s really close. Any man would be lucky to have her. Like lottery lucky.”

Carol Ross writes fun stories filled with great characters and I really enjoyed her contribution to the Return of Blackwell Brothers series. I, unfortunately, did not realize that this book is number 4 in a sequel series regarding cousins to the Blackwell brothers and hadn’t read any of the previous books in this Blackwell Sisters series. It can be read as a stand-alone since the author does a fair amount of explaining the backstories of Fiona’s sisters but I wish I had read the other books so I could understand the reason behind Big E and the girls’ adoptive father Rudy’s search for the elusive Thomas Blackwell, Big E’s other son and the biological father of the five girls.

The writing is easy to follow and the plot moves at a good pace. Simon is easy to love as the perceptive and charming bartender, hardworking rancher, and knowledgeable antique props dealer. And Fiona is also easy to love with her free spirited, tender-hearted, loving, and funny ways. Her attempts at dating to find a husband is quite hilarious and I loved Luke, Simon’s best friend. I also loved being able to catch up with the Blackwell brothers and their growing families. The premise of the entire series, though, felt a bit contrived with five sisters being adopted by one couple and their biological father being an illegitimate Blackwell.

If you enjoy contemporary romance, you will definitely enjoy this book. I received a copy of the book from the publisher via Prism Book Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
