This is definitely a book I'm going to purchase in the future. I learned so much about culture!! and am excited to do some cooking soon
There were some breaks in between the recipes, where the author would talk about her life, her experiences in the Philippines and with the food, or her heritage. I found it really cool! I have such a hard time learning about my own culture, so this book really taught me a lot
There were some cool af pages, even one that references to other filipino-related literature.

This will probably start a fight somewhere but the adobo from this book is one of the best I’ve ever had. Really bang-on recipes.

Didn’t love the design of this. Too many bright colours and different fonts made it overly busy. Some cool recipes, though.
