This is my favorite book in the series. Hunter Bing is just home from the service. He has plans now that his military career is over. However, things take a turn when his girlfriend is murdered in his apartment with his guy. Officer Gaby Flores is assigned the case because Hunter is the captain's brother and he wants someone impartial to run the investigation. Hunter is such a great character and so is Gaby. There are a couple of different story lines going on at the same time. It was great to see how the investigation and the relationship between the main characters developed. Hunter and Gaby both realized things about who they are and who they want to be. The growth in the characters made the book a real winner for me.
