Read for Librarian Book Group
Neither the writing, nor the art spoke to me in this book.

I just couldn't get into this one. I wanted it to be funny but didn't find myself chuckling. Actually, felt confused about who was talking and who they were loving as a pig.

Very odd book. Liked the illustrations but the text left me scratching my head.

So very odd, kids will love the absurdity.

Two degrees in English and these similes just don't work for me at all.

I liked the book. My only dislike is the word "crazy" as a way to explain behavior. Could just be me and my attempt to remove that word from my vocabulary, storytimes or interactions because of its negative impact on people with mental illness. I'm probably just an adult who over analyzed this book. Pizzoli's illustrations are colorful, clear enough to be seen across a room and animated.
