Awesome

Really fricking kickass and awesome. I like Simon more than I did. I'm on the fence about August. 5 stars. Oh, and the novella about April was SUPER COOL.

Reread May 30th, 2021
This was fantastic, but the end broke me. I definitely have a better opinion of Simon than I did before. His character was developed a lot in this book. The pixies are so cool! I like them. I hate Amandine (not that that's new, but y'know, now I hate her even more) and I don't really like August. This book was better than the last two, which I didn't love as much. Like those two, I'd forgotten everything, so calling this a reread is a bit funny. I'm a little scared to read the next one after this one's ending. 4.5 stars. Oh, and the April novella was great!

This book made me love, hate and miss so many different characters, but it was absolutely fantastic and exactly the sort of book I needed to be reading.

Can't wait for the next Toby adventure.

Another installment in this very long-running urban fantasy fairy series. I mean - it's difficult to rate an eleventh book in a series. I'm obviously invested at this point. I enjoyed it, I'll be back for more.

I've been half-hatereading this series for a while now but I did think this book was actually a bit better. At least the fae characters sometimes remembered that they are supposed to have an inhuman perspective and morality.

I was going to rate this 4 stars, but that short story touched me so much I bumped it up to 5 stars.

I haven't been writing reviews for these books because this series has me by the throat so tight that I think most reviews would just be screaming about how much I loved it and maybe a lot of exclamation points. But DAMN, even by October Daye standards, I sure did love this one. The tension! The travel! Simon! AUGUST. So many seeds coming to fruition. Talk about a book that rewards your investment in the story and characters. It was an incredible read, and, as ever, I'm so excited to continue with this series.
