Again, the wit can only do so much.
I'm disappointed with this series. It started out great but slowly deteriorated. The lack of plot and character development eventually caught up. This book just wasn't going anywhere for me and the wit started to fall flat.
No, I won't be picking up the "5th of the trilogy". My interest has dwindled and I don't see how it could get any better anymore. How I wish everything just ended on the 2nd book.

Wasn’t as satisfied with this book as the previous ones. Most of it felt like filler — essentially not enough whacky space stuff. The beginning was exciting, because there was a whole new mystery, and the bit just before the end was exciting because i thought the book was actually going somewhere despite the feeble 20 or so pages I had left, but most of the book felt lacking. Unfortunately, Adams’ writing in and of itself is very enjoyable to read, so I was still somehow entertained. But it was definitely one of those reads where I only kept going on the off chance something actually exciting would happen, rather than being compelled to find out what happens next.
Was also disappointed that Zaphod and Trillian have no involvement whatsoever — in fact they are only mentioned once in passing, despite a whole section with Zaphod in book two and Trillian’s importance in the resolution of the previous entry. Anywho.

Entertaining and amusing this is not quite as funny as the previous three but still laugh out loud funny, once you discount the somewhat cheesy romance that Arthur gets himself into and the dolphins are brilliant...exactly how I'd imagine them to be

It feels so different from the rest of the trilogy, so much less uniquely funny. Maybe want to reread in the future but for now it just didn't click with me at all.
