has a pretty slow start, but overall the book is good and really got my attention after the first couple of chapters

Wow! This was a non-stop gruesome thrill ride. A dark page-turner that found a perfect balance between crime and supernatural fiction. A good spooky season read as well

Wow this book was horrible. When King is at his best it’s really hard to put his novels down but when he’s at his most over-indulgent, obscenely verbose it’s almost impossible to finish and this was one of the worst.

As good as I remember it. I should probably go back and read a lot of books I read before I was 12 now that I have a slight understanding of life.

It was good. A little slow at times but I enjoyed it. Loved reading from Sheriff Pangborn's pov

The last Stephen King book I read was Mr. Mercedes and is wasn't very Stephen King-like. But this one was perfect. It had just the right amount of twistyness that makes for a quintessential SK read.

Still one of my favorite King novels. Still wish there were at least one more chapter about what happened after the big finale.
