"Wrong Bed, Right Guy" is the first book in the "Come Undone" series by Katee Robert and is the story of Elle Walser, an art gallery coordinator who has a thing for her boss, Nathan Schultz, a man who she believes is "ideal", but her plan for seducing him goes comically wrong when she ends up in bed with his older brother, Gabe, a man who appears to be her complete opposite.

The premise of the book sounded like the story was going to be a blast BUT I found myself REALLY irritated with Elle for the first part. She seemed high maintenance and had a rigid personality. Thankfully, she finally thawed out later on in the story and redeemed herself. Hehe.

The brightest spot in this book had to be Elle's best friend, Roxanne Stokes. I loved that she was no-nonsense and said it like it was. She was funny and was a good balance to Elle's rather stoic outlook on life.

I'm giving "Wrong Bed, Right Guy" three out of five stars because it took me a while to warm up to the lead character. Haha. ^.^

I went into this book knowing that it was a cheesy romance but the main character was ridiculous. Her thoughts and reactions were more on par with a preteen girl.

Elle has a crush (an intellectual crush?) on her art gallery boss Nathan. She’s had bad luck with the kinds of guys she’s usually into and her mother is pushing suitable (read horrible) options. So she finally works up the courage to seduce Nathan and climbs into his bed. Except it’s not Nathan asleep in bed, but his brother Gabe.

Mortified, Elle wants absolutely nothing to do with Gabe. But Gabe can’t let her go. It’s a battle of wills.

I picked this one up because I am waiting on holds to come in and needed something to hold me over. It was cute, quick, easy. But there were a number of plot holes that bothered me. And I wavered between liking Elle and being very annoyed or exasperated by her. Plus Gabe fell a little flat for me. I’ve loved Katee’s Dark Olympus series but I don’t think this one is for me.

I’m a big Katee Robert fan, but despite the delightfully ridiculous premise and first chapter, this is not her best work. Plot: a prudish, girlish woman is deeply uncomfortable with having a crush on Gabe. (He has tattoos and took her to a *bar*.) She reacts to him like a 12 year old denying a crush. Meanwhile, Gabe weirdly likes this girl, who is totally not his type, and he tries get her (phrasing intended). Dnf @ 40%.
