If you're looking for a classic regency romance, look no further. The Viscount Who Loved Me is an easy read with much the same dynamics as Anthony and Kate's season on Bridgerton, if you've seen it. If you haven't, Anthony is the eldest of the Bridgerton children, a long-time rake finally ready to settle down and have children. He has his eyes set on Edwina Sheffield but her half-sister Kate thinks otherwise. The two clash  constantly and the tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife, but that's what makes their chemistry so good.

In this book you'll find much courting, banter, and will-they/won't-they. It does not quite line up with the plot of the show (you definitely won't find any mention of India or Chai) but does scratch the Bridgerton itch.

I'm looking forward to reading to reading the next one in the series!

[tw/cw: injury, broken bone, misogyny typical of the regency period, death of a loved one (memory), nightmares, panic attacks]

Some developments happened too fast, and the pacing felt off, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. I was pleasantly surprised by how emotional and serious the book got at times.

This book is superior to the first one. Anthony and Kate's relationship has more romantic tension. And the enemies to lovers trope in this book is just chef's kiss.

I came into this book with really high hopes because I really liked Bridgerton S2, so I thought, if the season was that good the book must be amazing. Toy surprise the book was a bit disappointing, I found it very slow, Anthony is unbearable, I didn't like the characters at all nor the story, I almost DNF.
