It was a fun read. Loved the scenes between Freddie and Andie. Loved the drama and the sprt scenes in it.

Thought it would be solely a cute romance between Olympic athletes but all of a sudden there was some blackmail and manipulation, so that was fun. Andie felt a little immature - I felt like half the book was her giving her friends the silent treatment instead of communicating - but other than that I had a good time.

POV: dual first person

You can expect: 2016 Olympics, pro soccer goalie FMC, pro swimmer MMC, forbidden relationship, insta lust, he falls first, forced proximity, injury.

Rep: grief, wrist injury

Spice: 2/5

CW: death of a parent and sibling (past), manipulation and blackmail

Cute story idea, but a lot of mansplaining, ignored implied consent, and making the fmc sad and then f*cking the depression out of her

I was excited to read this one because I thought it would be a cute summer olympic romance, but it missed the mark with me. I thought it was really insta-lovey and I was kind of bored with the plot. And I was so confused by the main character being so adamant about playing with a major injury, it makes no sense for an athlete at that level to potentially ruin and end their whole career to play one game, even if it is the Olympics.
