Цю книгу варто прочитати хоча б через ессе Кіри Найтлі. Дуже сильне і зворушливе.

i have mixed feelings about this
some essays were really relatable and/or inspiring to me, but others were like… meh
also, if i have to read about j.k. rowling being someone’s fav feminist again, i think i might have to throw up
probably more useful to people who don’t yet know a lot about feminism

Feel like this is more aimed at teenagers or younger as a lot of the essays were quite basic and didn’t really go past ‘you go girl, be a feminist’ to anything much deeper. They were good and I don’t think the sentiment was bad. It was just missing some oomph.

I was really hoping that I would find this book challenging and thought provoking but all the takes and essays I read were things I’ve personally heard before. I would’ve liked this book much more if I was younger with less knowledge about feminism, when I didn’t have such a strong sense of what I feel feminism is to me.

I really liked the fact that it gave so many perspective from so many women! I loved how diverse it was, there weren't just life stories, there were some funny chapter, some embarassing ones... I really recommend this book to anyone who is interested by people's experience with feminism (should be everyone in my opinion).

“When a feminist 'gets some action'. she does not in fact hook up with her crush but instead changes the world. Or does both.”
