Dax and Violet gave me all the fireflies!!!

I'm blown away by Lauren Rowe's brilliance. The women has completely outdone herself. Rockstar is truly amazing. Sexy, swoony, forbidden, angsty and just overall entertaining, I did not want this book to ever end. The twist and turns...gah!...they set me off on a whirlwind of emotions. Weeks after reading and I'm still hungover. I love, love, loooove this book so dang much.

It's no secret that I am deeply in love with the Morgan family. Like desperately-wishing-they-were-real-and-wanting-to-be-one kind of love. However, if I'm honest, I felt a little disconnected from Dax before reading Rockstar. I didn't feel like I really knew him. Now that I've read his story... *blows out breath* y'all...Dax Morgan is EVERY. SINGLE. THING!! This supremely talented, sensitive, sexy man has stolen a giant piece of my heart. He so different from your typical rock star. Loyal and dedicated, I'm was crushing on him big time.

If falling for Daxy wasn't enough. Ms. Rowe throws in the sweetest, most kind hearted, human being ever. I couldn't help but fall for Violet too. She's had a lot to deal with growing up, leaving her with some insecurities. But still, her spirit and good radiated off the page.

The instant connection between these two really make this book. They're so perfectly matched. I couldn't get enough of their chemistry. *dreamy sigh* Soo in love with their love.

You do not have to read the previous Morgan Brothers books to read this one. I feel like Rockstar had a different vibe from the other books. It still had Lauren Rowe's typical humor and heart. It just had something extra that really took Rockstar to another level. If you want a book that will make you laugh, cry, swoon and fall in love, then you need Rockstar in you life ASAP.

Also, Can we find Fish a nice girl, please?!

So this book went through a lot of ups and downs.

The beginning-Part 1 was good for the most part but Dax went through a lot of soul searching and we got to see/hear ALLLLL of his “woe is me” “poor me” moments and it got to be a bit much.

The last two hours of the book after the couple find many their way to each other and they work through things is much better.

While I didn’t feel I had to force myself to finish this book and I liked it better than Zander’s book it’s not going down as my fave Morgan Brother book.

John Lane and Lauren Rowe did a great job bringing this book to life and my only real complaint is when Lauren tries to voice Papa Morgan. Her voice is so sweet and is a higher register that part failed her.

I would still recommend this book to everyone as it rounds out the end of this series of books nicely.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!!?

The Morgan has quickly became one of my favorite lol families and I'm truly sad to see the series come to an end and it is like Lauren Rowe save ALL of her passion for this book and she let it seep through every single page!
Dax's passion and love for !music is so evident in the way he talks about it. Even to someone who likes too fourth music got it and understood it!
There were so many times when Violet and Dax when they first met that my heart just swooned and awed for how sweet those two with each other.

Then you start seeing the secrets and you start cringing because you know that secrets don't always stay hidden and when they do come to light they do so with a bang and I truly didn't want anything to happen to these two. Just sunshine and unicorns rainbows.

There were a few times that Red Cards Chariots drummer seemed like a total butt munch and I wanted to throat punch him. It seemed like he wanted Dax to turn into a raging butt hole. Even after Violet breaks up with Dax I actually got really sad the first time he slept with someone else. It just didn't feel right to mr. It felt wrong. Even he felt it.

My Dex, my artist that can only write when his muse is next to him!
First, i love the cover and the video as it's the first time that I've seen something like this (also fangirling a bit over Dylan :)))
I loved everything in this book, from the writing that kept me reading the book in one sitting, to the great characters and family and friends, how the author made a point of what a real and fulfilling life means, how easy they bond and how important is to have them near at any moment of our life, without judgements and always there to support and help. I must admit that i envy their easy going and strong feelings towards each other, i wish i had a family like that.
There are moments when someone walks into our life and the connection of that missing puzzle is immediately felt and if you are smart enough, you'll never let go of that person, but as always, life throws many obstacles in the way of happiness and it takes courage and sacrifice to overcome those impediments to finally set down and feel that peace that only true love can bring in our hearts.
"Longing.Need.Yearning.Lust.Understanding.It all passes between us palpably."

All this is part of the story between Dex and Violet, a story full of instant lust and the agony of losing something that you think is perfect for you: "If you're blue, it's because you're perfectly human, not because you're broken", finding it again and fighting for it against all the consequences because it's the only person that brings Fireflies in you and makes them brighter than anything else in the world.

"Keeping your own dreams alive will ultimately be the thing that allows you to give the best of yourself to the people you love the most."
A perfect rockstar romance that everyone should read.

I had actually read this series a few years ago & loved it. I completely missed that there was an audiobook for each of the books & had to start a reread of the series.

I absolutely loved this book. Violet & Dax have such a complex story & I loved how it all unfolded. The chemistry between the youngest Morgan sibling and his Muse is so perfect. These two have so much to overcome & what a ride it is.

I love this book & how everything comes together, it makes for an amazing read & audiobook listen.

Rockstar is amazing! I have been waiting for this book for ages and it exceeded my wildest expectations.

After Peenie and Xander I didn't think I would be saying this but... DAX I love you the most.

Holy Swoonness Batman! Dax… sweet, introverted, soulful Dax. This book has me grinning ear to ear by the end. Emotional in the middle. I thought Peen was my favorite book. Then I read Bodyguard, and thought IT must be my favorite. Now I’m thinking Rockstar is my fav! I mean, a man with long hair with a heart of gold is the shiznit right? They are all good great reads. Highly recommend the whole series.

Dax... Dax... Dax... ....

Rockstar romance 5 star because I can't add more... so let's start Dax... and well Dax and Violet story got me in a fantastic journey. This book is like no other, have you seen the video? Ok I have it on my YouTube channel book playlist for you to quickly find it, you need to watch it.

This rockstar romance is so much more than what I expected. Family is such an important part of it. Music is what brings them all together and love is what flourish with every page you turn. Twist and turns, ups and downs, upside down and all around this ride will take you on all emotional directions. I think I wasn't prepare for all of them. I loved it I simply loved it so much, this one deserves and audiobook soon for me to have another go. Can be read as a standalone and you might want to read the rest after.

Despite the fact the the cover is worthy of tons of snark and the model is doing that duck lips thing I hate with the heat of a 1,000 suns, I decided to listen to this.

Sigh.

Y'know the conflict was actually a good one. But I wish if they were gonna have Dax break the bro code it would have been for someone with whom he had really had a longer and deeper bond wirth. Someone with whom you felt like he was really brothers with ( no, not Fish... I would have hated Dax if he'd hurt Fish). I just didn't buy this 'bros for life' after one tour and declaring loudly they were bros for life. But I did buy Violet's unease at being treated like a side piece or someone on the downlow because Dax was too chickenshit to come clean to his 'bro for life' that he was seeing his ex. It was a good scene and a good romantic conflict to hang the story on.

Violet's characterization was confusing. On the one hand she just wants someone to love her just for her and never leave and 'oh why can't someone just want to keep me and stay' and talking about her abandonment issues etc. But on the other hand she dismisses the idea of marriage, proclaiming that just being with someone without the pesky legal papers is enough and if they want to leave it makes leaving easy. Whaaa...? You'd think someone who wants to cling to someone permanently as bad as we are told Violet does would welcome the permanency that a legally binding marriage seems to give. Also I was just annoyed Violet kept referring to Dax as 'This boy'. Just ew.

Dax was just the most overwrought hero I think I ever read. Being in his mind was just too much like being in the head a fevered tween in the throes of first love. I totally pictured him figuratively drawing purple violets with hearts around them between every thought.

There were some things I did like but they were generic, like I said the conflict was a good one and actually provided some great moments dialogue and character interaction and development. I also like the family, I really like his brother Colby and for the smallish bits we get of the fam, they do not disappoint.

But overall this felt rather juvenile in places.
