a fun book but don't think I would read it again. super fast paced and the beginning was good, but I got confused toward the middle because of how many new characters were added to the story. now I understand why people think the author was on LSD or some other psychedelic

I read Alice through the looking glass, not the entire bind-up. I really enjoyed it, I think it's written really charming and cute. The story was a bit all over the place, but that was also with Alice in Wonderland. It's a real chaos, but it's sweet. Recommend!

"A boat, beneath a sunny sky
Lingering onward dreamily
In an evening of July -

Children three that nestle near,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Pleased a simple tale to hear -

Long has paled that sunny sky:
Echoes fade and memories die:
Autumn frosts have slain July.

Still she haunts me, phantomwise,
Alice moving under skies
Never seen by waking eyes.

Children yet, the tale to hear,
Eager eye and willing ear,
Lovingly shall nestle near.

In a Wonderland they lie,
Dreaming as the days go by,
Dreaming as the summers die:

Ever drifting down the stream -
Lingering in the golden gleam -
Life, what is it but a dream? "

I pulled this off my shelf to give my mind a break after my last couple of books got pretty intense. I was never a fan of the movie and usually the book is better but they were about equal in this case.

It wasn't great. It was cute. It served it's purpose. There just wasn't much to it and I probably won't read it again unless one of my children asks me too.
