Sweet, charming love letter from a father to his child, introducing the baby to all the (broad categories of) things in the universe. Love the inclusiveness and positive messages, along with gentle humor.

This was okay. It seems as though the audience is pre-verbal, pre-swimming children, but the volume and presentation of content belie that. So it's really written for parents. I do like picture books to appeal to adults, but it annoys me when picture books for adults pretend they are for children. The whimsy was precocious, but sometimes fun.
I liked the landscape illustrations, but didn't generally care for the figure artwork.

“Things can sometimes move slowly here in Earth. More often, though, they move quickly, so use your time well. It will be gone before you know it.”

My kids love Jeffers’ Crayons books and Stuck. So, when I saw he’d released a new book I decided to check it out. This book was inspired by the birth of the author’s own child and gives an overview of the Earth, the creatures and people on it and the space around us. Charming picture book with just the right amount of silliness.

MAINTENANT.
Où le voulons-nous ?
PARTOUT.
That said, ce livre est un petit bout d’amour à chérir.
