Really a 3.5 but probably on the lower side so I'll give it a 3. This is the first of a new series and too much time was spent setting up the endless future battles with the "unbeatable foe". I despise that part of the thriller series trope. It was a good read and I did like it, but it may not translate to any further in the series.

I started this expecting little, but I was soon pleasantly surprised at how good Orphan X is. Evan is an interesting character and his character development added so much to the story. I enjoyed piecing together the mystery part of it too, and shocking revelations were everywhere. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Good pacing interesting characters. Not completely crazy plots but not super realistic either about standard fare for this kind of novel. Will be checking next one out of library.

Let's get this out of the way, there's more than a little Jason Bourne type action going on here. Let's call it a quality hommage. The thing that makes it good is that the main character is really good, but not perfect. The story is exciting and makes one want to see what happens next. I look forward to the series continuing. Worth the read.

Really enjoyed this. Good example of writing that doesn't have a lot of unnecessary junk.

Good read, fast paced action.

If you liked Gray Man you'll like this.
