4.5 stars. It was great for what you’d expect, except a complete lack of chemistry between the main characters.

I’ll admit that I had a hard time getting into this one, but once I was about 75 pages in, I was hooked! I loved the whole idea of an ice cream stand run only by women.

I liked getting to know Amelia and her passion for Meade Creamery and how she tries to keep things going when Molly – the founder – died. Another character I really enjoyed getting to know was Grady. He was a cinnamon roll, even though he acted like a jerk at times, but it was also east to see that he wanted the business to succeed even though his motives were sometimes selfish. I also liked the journal entries from 1945 written by Molly because it gave her more character, and it also showed how the ice cream stand got its start.

The one character that I could not stand as Cate. I hated how she constantly tried to undermine Amelia and made her feel bad when she was trying to do everything in her power to save the ice cream stand, she deserves a better best friend!

This was the first Siobhan Vivian book I have read and I’m looking forward to reading more her works in the future. This is the perfect summer contemporary read, especially if you love ice cream with a bit of romance thrown in! 4/5 Stars.

I just loved it, it's the perfect summer read. It's cute, there's a little bit of drama but not too much, a little bit of a twist but not a crazy one, I enjoyed the various characters (although Grady was a bit too plain). It reminded me of The Unexpected Everything but with ice cream instead of dogs, and it was just pink and flowery and girly and perfectly sweet.

This book is everything sweet and summer that I was looking for when I picked it up. I read it in one sitting - perfect if you are looking for something light and refreshing. Make sure you have ice cream nearby when you finish reading!

Well... Honestly I bought this book "thanks" to bookstagram. I saw it on several accounts that I love and thought ... well it's for me, the story looks cute, the cover is gorgeous .... I never read any book from VIVIAN, lots of nice reviews ... Bam I bought it and 5 months later I am reading it and reading it and reading it because I can't seem to have a hold on it. Not because I am dying to read it no... because I don't enjoy the story and the "plot". The writing is good don't get me wrong but it was ssooooo girly.

The MC is 17, working with her best friend at and ice-cream stand which exists since WW2 with a lot of history behind it. But damn ... it was really cheesy and long and I am glad I read and FINISHED it !

The story held a lot of promises which were spoiled by the cheesiness of the MC.

This book was exactly what I was expecting and a bit more. I loved the feminine undertones and the ICE CREAM. I could almost smell the sugar cones! The emotions in this story were very real and I really felt for our main character, Amelia, who is a lot like myself. The two stories, Molly Meade's ice cream journey, and Amelia's coming of age journey were well-balanced, though I preferred Molly's. This novel is definitely a well-balanced, cool, sugary read! And can someone please get me some Home Sweet Home?! I am dying for a taste!

However sweet this read, I did not find any notable quotes worth mentioning.
