You want to talk about a refreshing and cute graphic novel bind-up, I think this is definitely the one I'm going to recommend this year. ~Help~ Wanted showed up in the recommended projects in my Kickstarter app feed, and when I read the campaign summary, it sounded so adorable I couldn't pass it up. For the record, I had to add this book to GR, because I wasn't able to find it anywhere. The ISBN wasn't bringing up any results at all, nor was a search for Payton Francis by her author name, and the title "Help Wanted" just brought up near-endless pages of what looked like cookie cutter dime rack smut novels. I really hope more people start reading this soon-ish, because this graphic novel deserves to have more attention on here.

So what is this about? When I read over the brief blurb in the Kickstarter campaign when I initially backed this, I just thought it'd be a cute female/female romance
Spoilerwhere one of the girls happens to be a werewolf.
Turns out there's a much bigger story going on, and I feel like the slowburn aspect of this comic is being reserved for the mystery of what's happening around Lynnhurst house, rather than the growing attraction between main characters Anne and Hally. Not to say that the "meet cute" and awkward, sweet-and-shy romance blossoming between them isn't adorable, because it is, and I'm absolutely here for that; it's why I backed this graphic novel in the first place. But I'm definitely going to be staying for the greater mystery.

I'm still sort of getting used to figuring out the characters in this comic, but I have to say that I already think Francis has solid world-building and a very fun writing style. I love this already, and I want more graphic novel bind-ups of the comic like yesterday. (For the curious, the comic is being published online, and more can be read at tapas.io/series/helpwantedcomic, which I myself might wind up diving into.)
