Read this to see if I would like this universe, and if I should get a hold of Vicious. But I'm honestly not sure, since this short really wasn't for me.

The way Schwab can make me care about every character she creates needs to be studied

Loved this! It’s a mesmerising short story following one of Eli’s victims, jumping between the first few days after he becomes an EO, and the moment he meets his grisly end. I enjoyed exploring his powers and the strange limitations they had, as well as the fallout they had for his personal relationships.

Be sure to read Vicious before reading this.

As soon as I finished this, actual barrage of fireworks went off outside my windows. A lovely novella to not only end this year of reading but also look back to one of the more delightful stories I’ve encountered this year. I guess I should give the rest of authors works a try too, next year.
