None of the characters are likeable still. They all end up ruining any good things they say/do. Really enjoying the audiobooks they’re super easy to listen to.

I started re-reading the Gossip Girl series this summer, but I needed a bit of a break after reading the first four in pretty quick succession. It was nice to come back to this one though - it was so fun!
I liked that this one had Serena, Blair & Nate interacting for most of the book (they all felt very disconnected in the third and forth book which was partly my reason for needing a break from the series) and Chuck has a bigger role in this one too.
For some reason I could also really imagine the characters as their TV counterparts in this book, more than in any others in the series so far (even though I'm aware this book pre-dates the series by about 5 years) but I loved that & it helped to keep me engaged.
Short & sweet as always - I think I'm back into this series now and I do want to finish it for completeness sake. I think I'll probably pick up these books intermittently from now on as they are a good palette cleanser.

Really enjoyed things turning around for Blair and not going completely Serena's way this time.
Blair deserves some happiness, poor girl.

A definite improvement from the pervious instalment. It was a little slow to get going but once they actually made it to spring break I found things actually moved along at a decent pace. For the most part everyone was....slightly less awful? Or maybe I am just getting used to it now idk but I found them lass annoying to listen to 2.5 stars
